The last in a series of storms riding along a front stalled just to our south of New England will slip off to our southeast this evening.

The steadier rain will taper to scattered showers from west to east across the state this afternoon as low pressure passes to our south.
The front that pushed south through New England Saturday night and Sunday has become stationary over the Mid-Atlantic States, with warm and muggy air to its south and chilly and damp air to its north.
There’s a stationary front located just off the New England coastline with low pressure along the front over the Mid-Atlantic region.
We’ll see periods of rain throughout the day today with the steadiest falling over areas south of Greenville and Millinocket.
We have some showers around this morning but they’ll start to move from north to south through the day as an area of high pressure moves in from Canada.
A slowly approaching cold front will begin to kick off some showers and thundershowers late Today and overnight over northwestern parts of Maine, with the showers gradually moving southeast tonight.
High pressure will build into the area today giving us a partly to mostly sunny, warm and less humid day.
High pressure behind a cold front today will give us a mostly sunny day with temps between 70-78.
A cold front will move into the state Thursday giving us variably cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible from late morning through the afternoon.
It will be another warm and humid day across our region today.
The ridge of high pressure currently centered off the southern Mid-Atlantic Coastline continues to pump warm and muggy air up into New England.
A stationary front will be positioned to our north and west this afternoon.
High pressure will remain anchored east of the Southeastern U.S.
Rain showers will wind down this morning followed by brightening skies and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon.
Skies will continue to gradually brighten this afternoon.
A ridge of high pressure off the east coast will usher a warmer, more humid airmass into the area over the next few days.
Overall, it looks like a good start to the week with highs in the 70s and low 80s under partly sunny skies today.
