From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:

An upper level area of low pressure drifting east through the Gulf of Maine and its associated pool of cool air aloft kept conditions a bit unstable across New England yesterday as brief hit and miss showers kept popping up across our region. Temps today will run a few degrees below normal for early May as highs hold in the 50s to low 60s throughout the Pine Tree State.

Moisture wrapping around the storm will keep plenty of clouds over the area today along with a few scattered showers. Areas closer to the coast and towards southern Maine could see some breaks in the clouds thanks to northwesterly winds helping to dry things out a bit.
