The Boston Marathon is less than two weeks away.
And this year’s race will be a big leap for Regina Marquis of Old Town.
Hartford scored a pair of late runs to come from behind and defeat the University of Maine baseball team 2-1 on Monday afternoon at Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Maine. Rookie Jeff Gelinas pitched seven scoreless innings for the Black Bears in his first America East Conferene start of the season.
The 2013 Boston marathon started as a great event but ended up hurting many people physically and psychologically. The 2014 version is scheduled for later this month and locals wouldn’t miss it for anything. Eric Gullickson has more with one runner who was there last year is eager to go run it again.

Former Bangor high hockey player Nic Cota will play in college for USM in the fall. Very few Maine kids play at any level once they leave high schooL.
Former Skowhegan basketball player Ashley Hilton will become a Hall of Famer this coming weekend. On Friday night the University of New Haven will honor Hilton who was a division two 4th team All American her senior year in college in 2007.
Hilton scored more than 16 hundred career points at New Haven.
