Clemens Update

Updated 7 years ago

Roger Clemens will get at least one more minor
league start before joining the New York Yankees starting rotation.
The 44-year old will pitch Monday for the Yankees Triple-A
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre farm team against Toledo.
There was some thought that Clemens would join the Yankees after
his minor league start Wednesday, but he struggled in that outing
with Double-A Trenton. Clemens gave up three runs, six hits and
threw 102 pitches in five-and-a-third innings. He also walked four,
struck out five and threw a wild pitch.

WEDNESDAYNIGHT THE BANGOR BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPENENT COMMITTEE WILL HEAR A PROPOSAL FROM HOLLYWOOD SLOTS GENERAL MANAGER JON JOHNSON. THE IDEA IS FOR PENN NATIONAL TO SHARE IN BUILDING
OF TWO NEW BARNS WITH THE CITY OF BANGOR. COST ESTIMATES FOR THE PROJECT ARE BETWEEN 1.2 AND 1.4 MILLION DOLLARS. PENN NATIONAL HAS PLANS TO TEAR DOWN THESE OUTDATED BARNS AND INITIALLY DECIDED TO MAKE THIS A SHIP-IN TRACK.
