Never Say Never; Houlton Football

Many sports fans in Houlton said that the town would never have a sanctioned high school football team.
They are so far removed from the other teams and it would just cost too much.
But when the fall harvest break was stopped three years ago others thought that might open the door.
Last Friday, Houlton football had its first MPA varsity game.
The Shiretowners took on Orono. There was no score in the game when Jake Drew burst down the left sideline and into the endzone.
Houlton had the lead. They ended up losing the game to Orono, but this weeks never say never moment is a shout-out to the new Houlton high school football program.
