Nick Coit

Nick joined the WABI TV5 News Team in December 2011. He comes from Plymouth, MA (a Proud Pilgrim!), and previously worked as a Sports Producer at FOX 25 in Boston.

Nick graduated from Emerson College in May 2011 with a B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at Emerson, Nick was an active member of the college’s community. He was involved in many on-campus organizations, including EIV News, WEBN Sports, WERS 88.9 FM Radio, ETIN Online Radio, and served as a Resident Assistant. He also played catcher for the Emerson College Baseball team for two years. Nick was lucky enough to have the opportunity to cover sports in the Boston market through his school, his Spring Training trip in 2011, and his work at FOX 25. Nick also had the opportunity to spend a summer on Cape Cod as the play-by-play voice of the 2010 Cape Cod Baseball League Champion Cotuit Kettleers.

Nick is a lifelong Boston sports fan, obsessing over his Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and even Boston College Eagles (long story, but he’s also an alum of the BC “Screaming Eagles” Marching Band!). His favorite athletes include David Ortiz, Kevin Faulk, and Ray Bourque.

He is honored and humbled to have the opportunity to work with “the legendary” Tim Throckmorton, work with the great staff at WABI TV5, and learn his craft in such a welcoming community.
