Jon was born in Bangor, and grew up on the beautiful coast of Maine in Camden. He began his broadcasting career in radio at the age of 16 at WRKD in Rockland. After graduating from Boston University, Jon returned to Maine, working at radio stations in Rockland, Gardiner, Waterville and Augusta before moving to Bangor to join WABI radio in 1993. In 1997, he moved into television, joining WABI TV5 as co-anchor of the morning show. Jon became assistant news director in 2004. He now co-anchors TV5 News at Six.
