Brenna Kelly joined the WABI TV 5 News team as a general assignment reporter in June 2015.
She is an eighth-generation San Diegan, and lived in Southern California until she went to college at Washington State University in Pullman. Brenna is a graduate of The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and earned a student Emmy award from the Northwest Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for her story on the cutting-edge Wine Science Center in Richland, Washington.
During college, Brenna interned at NBC 7 San Diego, KHQ-TV in Spokane, Comcast SportsNet Northwest, and Northwest Public Television in Pullman. She also traveled to Cuba in 2014 for a backpack journalism trip. Brenna is passionate about giving a voice to those who do not have one.
She is excited to be living her dream of moving to the east coast, and is already a huge fan of lobster rolls. Brenna is an avid dog lover and a foodie at heart, so she is always looking for new restaurants to try.
