Area High Schools Using Hoops to Raise Funds for Narraguagus Senior Fighting Cancer

Downeast high school basketball schools are coming together to support one of their own.

Narraguagus senior basketball player Chad Perry is battling Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.

When the Knights have hit the road this winter schools like Calais, Washington Academy, Jonesport-Beals and others have been raising money at their home games when they play Narraguagus.

Chad isn’t able to play his senior season…. He’s here on the right next to his mother.

Tomorrow night at their game in Machias, the host school plans to donate the money for admission to the Perry family.

Chad has already had a few treatments and hopes to get in some ice fishing if he feels up to it soon.

Note: if you would like to help the Perry’s there is a GoFundMe page:

Also there is an address for people not comfortable with GoFundMe.  It is PO Box 123, Cherryfield, ME 04622
