Washington County Accident Knocks Out Power To Thousands 

There are more than 2000 power outages because of an accident in Berry Township in Washington County.

According to State Police a car went off Route 191, also known as Cathance Road and snapped a utility pole.

The wires are across the road and crews are working on clearing the roadway and restoring power.

Emera Maine estimates the power will be back on around 5:30 pm.

The road is down to one lane of travel right now.

No names were released but according to State Police one person was being checked out at the scene for unknown injuries.
