14 middle school and high school girls walked away in Bangor with a new dress, thanks to UsTrendy
Sam Sisakhti, founder of UsTrendy and the “Believe in Yourself Project”, speaks to the importance of promoting self esteem and empowering the young women in our community. These dresses were donated to the girls for free so they could wear them to holiday dances and events.
When asked, some girls said they would wear their new dress to Thanksgiving dinner, to Fun Night, to the Winter dance, and to a wedding! One of the young ladies mentioned how exciting it was for her to receive a dress that wasn’t a hand-me-down from her older sister.
