The Bangor Chinese School has been participating in a national program which encourages students to learn Chinese language and culture.
The Startalk program is in its fourth and final week.
Besides teaching children about Chinese, the event also doubled as a teacher-training session.
The Bangor Chinese School believes it is important for students to learn about a different country at an early age.
“I think China and the United States will work closer together more and more,” says Jing Zhang, president of the school. “The children are the hope and the future of our country.”
15 of the 42 students will be visiting China for three weeks when the program ends.
