Westgate Center for Rehabilitation and Alzheimer’s Care hosted a sweet competition Friday.
Cupcake Battles to End Alzheimer’s brought folks together at the Bangor location.
TV5’s Wayne Harvey took part in the fun, serving as a judge.
Community members and staff created the delicious treats.
It raises money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“It’s our sixth year doing this. It’s a tie into the community and everything and that’s what Westgate is all about,” said Robert Hemenway, Executive Director of Westgate. “Helps out the Alzheimer’s Association and that’s what we’re all about, helping people with Alzheimer’s and memory loss and that’s why we’re here.”
Staff say they typically raise close to $300.
They’re hoping to raise even more this year.
