Long Time Bangor Seafood Restaurant Closes Its Doors

An historic restaurant in Bangor has closed its doors, and it seems it may not re-open.

According to previous owner, George Brountas, Captain Nick’s on Union Street has been sold to RH Foster.

The popular seafood restaurant known for the vintage railroad car dining area originally opened in 1985.

In 2013, the business was leased to Caribou native Joseph Hackett.

Details of the sale are unknown.

We have reached out to Hackett and to RH Foster for comment and have yet to hear back.
