A worker was taken to the hospital after falling through the roof of Schenck High School in East Millinocket Thursday morning.
The school’s superintendent says the worker’s injuries aren’t life threatening.
Responders say the roofing subcontractor fell through a section of roof decking and landed on a filing cabinet 8 feet below.
Renovations have been underway at the school since June.
A former resident is using money she won from Powerball to help pay for improvements to the roof, floors, and bathrooms.
Students are still scheduled to return to school Tuesday.
