Old Town and Monroe Fire and Rescues to Share $133K

Fire and rescue departments in Old Town and Monroe will be sharing more than $133,000 in federal money.

Maine’s congressional delegation announced the awards Wednesday.

Old Town will receive nearly $73,000 for cardiac monitors and AEDs.

Monroe will use $61,000 for firefighter equipment.

The money comes from FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighter Grants program.
