An upper level disturbance crossing the region today will give us variably cloudy skies this afternoon along with the chance for a few more widely scattered showers. With clouds in place and a cooler northeast wind, temperatures will run near or a little below average with highs mainly in the low to mid-70s. Any showers that develop will wind down this evening followed by partial clearing as high pressure builds in from the north. Nighttime lows will drop to the low to mid-50s for most locales with a few spots up north possible cooling into the upper 40s.
High pressure is forecast to build in from the north on Saturday giving us a brighter start to the weekend with partly to mostly sunny skies expected. Temperatures on Saturday will be in the low to mid-70s for highs.
