Veazie Cooking Class Teaching “Farm to Plate” Techniques 

Locals are learning from some of the area’s best chefs at a new cooking class in Veazie.

The owners of R.M. Flagg Restaurant Equipment decided to expand their offerings in April so they opened the Maine Kitchen Cooking School.

The 18-seat classroom is housed inside their State Street location.

Thursday’s class was all about “Farm to Plate” cooking techniques.

Instructor Timothy Lewis said, “In today’s market or in today’s culinary world everybody is gearing towards healthier eating.” The Ellen Leach Memorial Home Chef continued to say, “I myself have changed by lifestyle of eating. It has made a huge difference in my life. So, I think the class is going to be in high demand as I do more and more of them.”
