More than 3,300 homes in Eddington, Brewer, Holden, Dedham, Clifton and Lucerene lost power early Thursday morning.

The outage was reported around 1:30 a.m.

Emera Maine says their crews are looking at sub-stations to try and determine the problem.

Gusty winds and rain overnight brought down tree limbs in the Deer Isle-Stonington area, knocking out power to more than 1,100 homes.

Central Maine Power had more than 7,100 outages as of 4:15 a.m. Thursday morning, most of them in Lincoln County.

Part of the Kennebec Road in Newburgh is closed for the next few hours, as crews work to remove a tree limb that fell.

We’re told its blocking traffic on both sides.

That area of the Kennebec Road is closed from the Dahlia Farm Road to the Mudgett Road.
