A sweet deal from Dairy Queen today – Miracle Treat Day helps support sick and injured kids.
One dollar from every blizzard sold benefits the Children’s Miracle Network.
Everything stays local – money raised by local Dairy Queens supports local hospitals, a bulk of the proceeds here going to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Local Dairy Queens continue raising money for CMN throughout the year with coin jars and balloons.
“We’ve actually had people come in and ask specifically if they can buy a balloon to donate,” says Megan Morin, part of the Dairy Queen crew. “I don’t know anyone personally through Children’s Miracle Network, but it’s really cool to see we ware helping for such a good cause.”
The Dairy Queens in Old Town, Freeport and the Bangor Mall have raised more than $12,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network since 2011.
