From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
Low pressure centered over the eastern Ontario/western Quebec border will continue to push an occluded front into New England today. Rainfall associated with the front will gradually spread eastward thru Maine this afternoon and evening. Rainfall should be showery in nature this afternoon then become steadier and heavier this evening thru the overnight tonight. With clouds, a southeast breeze and rainfall moving into the area, temperatures will be a bit below average today with highs only in the mid-60s to low 70s. Nighttime temps will drop to around 60° for lows in most locales.
Thursday will be fairly rainy especially from Bangor north and east. Rain will gradually taper to showers from southwest to northeast across the state during the afternoon. With clouds and rain in place, temperatures will again be well below average with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Unsettled weather will continue for the end of the week and this weekend as an upper low remains spinning over southern Quebec. The upper low will give us the chance for a few scattered showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Otherwise each of those days will feature variably cloudy skies with highs mainly near or a little above 70°.
