The Bangor Public Library hosted a big party Wednesday night.

Folks from around town joined the staff in celebrating the successful completion of their $9,000,000 fundraising campaign.

Attendees enjoyed free food, live music, and a look at renovation plans.

The event was originally scheduled to be held outside but, because of the rain, that didn’t happen.

Lisa Frazell, Director of Marketing & Development at the Bangor Public Library, said, “But the positive about that is that we might have some people who haven’t been inside the library for years and so this brings them inside to see how huge we are and how much of a collection we have and how many programs and services that we officer for free. So, it is not all bad.”

The event also marked the end of the Library’s Summer Concert Series with a performance by the RetroRockerz.

You can still donate to the library here.
