An Oklahoma boy, living with a life threatening illness, was grated his one wish, this week.

He and his family flew to Maine for an outdoor adventure they won’t soon forget, thanks to one coastal community.

11-year-old Robert Boren loves fishing.

It doesn’t take much more than a reel and rod to make him smile.

The Oklahoma native lives with a life threatening cardiac condition.

He’s enjoying the final days of a vacation paid for by Make-a-Wish.

They explored the Allagash River in Aroostook County.

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard, stationed in Southwest Harbor gave him a tour of one of their boats.

The town’s hospitality left an impression on this family from away. It’s safe to say they’ve fallen for Downeast Maine, hook, line, and sinker.
