Three teenage boys are accused of assaulting staff members at Acadia Hospital.

Bangor Police say their investigation began Wednesday night.

Responders say four staff members were treated and released for non-life threatening injuries at a nearby emergency room.

Two 14-year-olds, one from Bangor, another from Jay, were arrested for Felony Aggravated Assault.

They’re being held to Mountain View Youth Development Center in Charleston.

A 17-year-old from Bangor has been summoned for 4 separate Misdemeanor Assault charges and remains at the facility.

Boy, these 3 teens must have been bored stiff and nothing to do but to hurt people…..way to go teens!(not)

As a person who worked with kids at a group home. There is a lot more to it then being bored! Typically mental health conditions warrent mental health therapy. A lot more than just your judgments go into these kids back stories.

As an employee of this particular hospital, I can say you are entirely correct. Each person who comes through those doors has their own unique circumstances and motives.

And why we’re they e enough there?’

    • Employee_AH

Confidentiality laws say that no one can tell you that. Sorry.

Maybe they were denied medical care, or the care was hurtful.

In case you weren’t aware, Acadia is a mental hospital not a medical one.
