It wasn’t a record breaking year, but it was a solid one.
That’s what Chuck Kruger, the president of the Maine Lobster Festival Board, says about this year’s Lobster Fest.
He says 15,238 pounds of lobster were sold this year, that includes lobster on rolls and in salads.
This is down from 16,890 pounds last year.
While there were other downs, like numbers at the gate, he says there were ups in other areas like the revenue.
Kruger says organizers are already looking forward to the 2015 Festival. Planning has already begun.
