East Millinocket residents approved cuts to the town’s school budget at a town meeting Tuesday.
If voters accept the cuts, two full-time elementary school teachers and a part-time guidance counselor will be laid off.
Superintendent Quenten Clark says two high school teachers have also agreed to work half time.
He says the cuts are a result of the owners of the mill still owing taxes to the town.
In total about $200,000 have been cut since it was first proposed.
Locals vote on the $4.1 million budget Thursday.
