Sunday marked the 61st anniversary of the signing of a very important document in national history.
It was the signing of the armistice that ended the Korean War.
US troops fought alongside the South, against China with the North.
Veterans in Bangor gathered on Sunday to remember the occasion, something they will do for the rest of their lives.
“Things in our charter says we will always have the ceremony at our Korean war veterans memorial to celebrate that signing every year. Forever,” says Ed Davis, the Master of Ceremonies at Sunday’s event.
Korean veterans say the signing ended communism in South Korea.
