Something very important to a Bangor Firefighter went missing on Friday night, but it has been returned.
The helmet of firefighter David Rudolph was taken off the fire truck when he was doing a shift at the Bangor State Fair.
News of the missing helmet traveled fast on social media and someone spotted it in a bush on the fairgrounds and brought it back to the fire station.
Captain John Prentiss says they’ve never had anything like this happen before. The helmet is made of leather and cost its owner about $600. A firefighter also cannot do his job without it.
We’re told Rudolph is very happy to have it back.
