Police Apprehend 3 after Newspaper Delivery Driver Calls 911

A newspaper delivery driver called 911 early Friday morning when, police say, he and his wife were threatened at gunpoint and chased by a red 2004 Pontiac Grand AM.

Police say it happened on Route 163 in Mapleton.

The delivery driver told investigators that several men and a woman were inside the car.

State Police are handling the case.

They say they executed two search warrants Friday afternoon, one at a home in Mapleton, another on a car in Presque Isle.

Investigators found guns and other items.

Five people of interest were interviewed.

Police say two men were arrested.

A third was charged and released to his parents.

Of the men arrested one is a juvenile.

The other is 18-year-old a Brandon Green of Chapman.

State Police are asking anyone with information to call their Houlton barracks at 542-5400.
