Wardens rescued two teenage hikers from the woods in Northern Maine, early Thursday morning.
Responders say a 46-year-old father from Gorham took his son and a friend camping in Deboullie Township.
The 15 and 16 year old boys went off on their own to hike a nearby fire tower, early in the afternoon Wednesday.
After spotting an oncoming storm, they tried to head for safety but ended up taking a wrong trail.
Wardens responded Wednesday night but didn’t find the teens until about 3 am Thursday morning.
Responders say they were a bit shaken up but are expected to be fine.
