The National Weather Service has determined that a tornado did in fact touch down in St. Albans Tuesday.
Folks in the town believed that was the case Tuesday evening.
Officials with the National Weather Service surveyed the damage Thursday morning.
Severe weather Wednesday delayed their investigation.
They say an EF1 tornado hit Hanson Drive and had winds of 80 to 90 mph.
The tornado caused extensive damage Tuesday evening, knocking down trees and power lines that blocked roads.
Crews spent Wednesday cleaning up the mess.
No one was injured.
