A Fairfield business owner who’s been court-ordered to clean up his yard now owes the town nearly $20,000.

The town manager says officials are considering more legal action against Robert Dale.

Dale had a deadline of June 15th to clean up outside his business, Maine 201 Antiques.

Neighbors say it’s an illegal junkyard.

Besides $10,000 in legal fees, Dale was penalized $5,000 when he missed the cleanup deadline.

He’s also being fined $150 a day.

The town manager says there’s been some improvement to Dale’s property, but there are still major issues there.

They won’t find much to pick there. Just look at the pictures and I have been there and seen it with my own eyes.
