A man in Northern Maine accused of killing his girlfriend, then running from police for nearly a week has been indicted by the Aroostook County grand jury.
38-year-old Jesse Marquis of Saint Francis is charged with murder.
A grand jury indicted him Friday.
Police say Marquis shot and killed Amy Theriault on May 31st, then took off.
A massive manhunt was organized and authorities finally arrested him six days later in a wooded area of St. Francis.
Marquis is in the Aroostook County jail in Houlton and is due back in court late next month for a bail hearing.
