A jury in Rockland will hearing opening statements Tuesday afternoon in the trial of a man accused of trying to kill his wife by pushing her off a cliff in Camden.

Jurors in the case of 71-year-old Charles Black were picked Monday in all-day process that ended late in the afternoon.

Prosecutors say in April 2011, Charles Black hit Lisa Black in the head with a rock, then shoved her off Maiden Cliff in Camden.

Police say the couple was at odds over a $4 million inheritance from her father.

She survived the fall.

Charles Black is charged with attempted murder as well as multiple assaults.

The two have since divorced.
