A man from Hancock accused of robbing a pharmacy in Ellsworth is already serving time for the crime, even though he hasn’t been found guilty.

Prosecutors say 23-year-old Bruce Wilbur agreed to start a six-month jail sentence this week as part of an agreement that he’d be admitted to the drug court program for his sentence.

Wilbur’s scheduled to plead guilty to robbery and stealing drugs July 22nd.

Police say Wilbur admitted to them that he took pills from the pharmacy at Shaw’s Supermarket in March.

After Wilbur serves his jail time, he’ll start the treatment program and have to stay out of trouble.

If not, he’ll go back to jail.

Two other men are also charged in the case.
