Great Stretch of Weather Ahead

From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

High pressure centered over the Great Lakes today will give us a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine, seasonable temperatures and lower humidity. Temperatures will range from the mid-70s to low 80s from north to south across the state this afternoon.

High pressure will dominate our forecast for Friday and Saturday. We’ll see mostly sunny skies both days. Temperatures will be in the mid-70s to low 80s Friday and upper 70s to mid-80s Saturday. The area of high pressure will move east of New England on Sunday which will shift our winds around to the southwest in turn ushering more humid air back into the region. An upper level disturbance approaching the area will bring us a chance for some showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon. With sunshine giving way to increasing clouds Sunday, temperatures will be a bit cooler with highs in the mid-70s to low 80s. A cold front approaching the area on Monday will keep us under the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms. The cold front is forecast to move through the state on Tuesday with more showers and thunderstorms.

Today: mostly sunny and less humid. Highs between 74°-83°. West/northwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Friday: mostly sunny with highs in the mid-70s to around 80°. West wind 5-10 MPH.

Saturday: sunny and pleasant. Highs between 79°-86°.

Sunday: increasing clouds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible during the afternoon especially over northern and western areas. Highs in the mid-70s to around 80°.

Monday: variably cloudy with a few showers possible. Highs in the 70s to near 80°.
