Two volunteer fire departments are getting nearly $220,000 in federal grant money.

Congress Mike Michaud says the Denmark Fire Department will receive $157,510 and the Sullivan Fire Department is being awarded $61,560.

The money comes from FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.

Denmark will use the money to pay for a new mini pumper fire truck.

Sullivan will spend its grant on a dozen new breathing apparatuses for firefighters.
