From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:

Warm and humid conditions will continue this afternoon with highs topping off a couple degrees either side of 80°. A cold front approaching from the west will give us the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon and into the evening hours. The cold front will cross the state early tonight so we’ll continue the chance for some showers and thunderstorms into the early nighttime hours ending by midnight or so. Skies will begin to clear out behind the front after midnight and humidity levels will continue to drop as well.

High pressure approaching New England from the west will produce bright and pleasant weather throughout Maine Thursday, with comfortable humidity levels and afternoon high temperatures ranging from the mid 70s north to the low 80s south. The high will continue to bring bright and pleasant conditions to our region Friday and Saturday. Temperatures Friday and Saturday will range from the mid 70s to low 80s by day, with nighttime lows in the 50s. The high will gradually move off to the southeast of New England Sunday and that will cause a southwest breeze on the backside of high to develop throughout the Pine Tree State. The southwest breeze will bring higher humidity back to our region later Sunday and Monday and the threat of scattered thundershowers will increase throughout New England.

Rest of Today: mix of sun and clouds, warm and humid. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms possible late. High temps in the upper 70s to mid 80s. South/southwest wind 10-15 MPH with gusts to 20-25 MPH possible.

Tonight: scattered showers and thunderstorms possible early then becoming partly cloudy, cooler and less humid. Low temps in the mid 50s to near 60.

Thursday: Partly to mostly sunny and less humid, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the upper 70s to mid 80s.

Sunday: Partly sunny and becoming more humid, with scattered evening thundershowers possible and high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.
