From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
Weak high pressure centered to the south of New England today will produce partly sunny skies across most of Maine. A southwest breeze on the backside of the high will continue to usher a warm and increasingly humid airmass into New England today and Wednesday. An approaching cold front will bring some scattered showers and thundershowers to our region tonight through Wednesday morning as the front interacts with the sticky air that will be sitting on top of the Pine Tree State.
Drier air will slowly begin to filter into the northeast later Thursday as the cold front slips off to our east and high pressure approaches New England from the west. The high will bring bright, mild and less humid conditions to our region Friday and Saturday. Temperatures Friday and Saturday will range from the mid 70s to low 80s by day and drop into the 50s at night.
Today: Partly sunny and muggy, with widely scattered showers and storms, with high temps in the upper 70s to mid 80s.
Wednesday: Variably cloudy and muggy, with scattered showers and storms and high temps in the mid 70s to mid 80s.
Thursday: Variably cloudy, few leftover showers possible and becoming less humid, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.
