Parents in Cherryfield want all kids to have fun playing outside.
The Cherryfield Elementary School PTO has raised more than $5,000 in the past year, and got another$5,000 from Lowe’s, for new playground equipment for the school.
Organizers say the current equipment isn’t accessible for kids with disabilities. It hasn’t been upgraded for years as debates were had about the school shutting down.
Everything has been purchased, now they just need help Saturday setting everything up from 8am-4pm.
There will be a BBQ for volunteers and different tasks for people of all abilities.
The rain date is Sunday, the 13th.
