One More Muggy Day Ahead

From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:

An approaching cold front and a disturbance aloft moving northward into southern Canada just to the west of New England will combine to bring scattered showers and thundershowers to parts of Maine tonight. A few of the hit and miss storms tonight might be on the strong side and contain a gusty breeze along with a heavy downpour, with the most numerous storms being found across northern and western parts of our region. Low temps tonight will hold in the 60s and patchy fog will develop, especially along the coastline.

Plan on one more humid day Wednesday, with once again some hit and miss thundershowers possible as the cold front continues to slowly cross our region. Later in the day the humidity levels will slowly begin to drop off as a northwest breeze begins to draw drier air back into our region.

High pressure approaching New England from the west will produce bright and pleasant weather throughout Maine Thursday, with comfortable humidity levels and afternoon high temperatures ranging from the mid 70s north to the low 80s south. The high will continue to bring bright and pleasant conditions to our region Friday and Saturday. Temperatures Friday and Saturday will range from the mid 70s to low 80s by day, with nighttime lows in the 50s. The high will gradually move off to the southeast of New England Sunday and that will cause a southwest breeze on the backside of high to develop throughout the Pine Tree State. The southwest breeze will bring higher humidity back to our region later Sunday and Monday and the threat of scattered thundershowers will increase throughout New England.

Tonight: Variably cloudy, with hit and miss scattered showers and storms, mild and muggy, with patchy fog and low temps in the low to mid 60s.

Wednesday: Variably cloudy and muggy, with a few more scattered showers and storms possible and high temps in the mid 70s to mid 80s.

Thursday: Partly to mostly sunny and less humid, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s.

Sunday: Partly sunny and becoming more humid, with scattered evening thundershowers possible and high temps in the upper 70s to low 80s.
