From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

Warm and humid conditions will return to the area today and set the stage for warm and humid weather through Thursday. There are no big storms in sight but a series of cold fronts are forecast to move through the region and will bring us a chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms each day through Thursday.

A cold front to the west of New England will continue  push eastward towards the area this afternoon and evening. As the front gets closer, we’ll see scattered showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon with the most numerous showers and thunderstorms occurring over northern and western parts of the state. Southwest winds will usher some warmer and more humid air into the region today. You’ll notice humidity increasing as the day wears on. Temperatures will top off in the mid to upper 70s along the coast and mainly low to mid-80s inland. The cold front will move through during the night tonight bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms as it crosses the state. Temperatures will be mild tonight with lows only dropping to the low and mid-60s.

The cold front will move east of the state early Tuesday. With the front still in the vicinity, we may see a few lingering showers over eastern parts of the state during the morning otherwise expect a partly sunny, warm and humid day. Temperatures will top off near 80° along the coast and low to mid-80s inland. Another cold front is forecast to cross the state Tuesday night and early Wednesday bringing with it another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms. It looks like any lingering showers Wednesday morning will move out early in the day followed by partly sunny, warm and humid conditions the remainder of the day. Temperatures will again be near 80° along the coast and low to mid-80s inland Wednesday afternoon. Another cold front is expected to move through during the day Thursday and give us some more scattered showers and thunderstorms. High pressure building into the area will bring us sunshine and pleasant conditions for the end of the week Friday.

Rest of Today: partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible especially over northern and western parts of the state. A bit warmer and becoming more humid. Highs between 75°-84°, coolest along the coast. Southwest wind 5-15 MPH.

Tonight: mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the 60s. South/southwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Tuesday: a few morning showers possible mainly over eastern areas then partly sunny, warm and humid. Highs between 77°-87°, coolest along the coast. Southwest wind around 10 MPH.

Wednesday: a few morning showers especially eastern areas then partly sunny, warm and humid. Highs between 78°-85°.

Thursday: partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s, coolest along the coast.
