The Telephone Museum

For three months out of the year these two men get to share their love for a device many may take for granted. The telephone. This is the Telephone Museum in Ellsworth.

Jeffery Webber is on the board of directors for the museum. In the early 70’s he brought the first telephone company to Frenchboro, an island off the coast of Maine. The building has since been moved from the island to the museum in Ellsworth.

David Thompson made the telephone his life’s work.  One thing is for sure, the phone has come a long way since it was introduced to society.
