Waterville Police are investigating a series of car burglaries around the Pleasant Street area.

Twenty vehicles were burglarized Sunday night into Monday.

Police say they’re following a few leads, but do not have a suspect.

They say the best thing to do to prevent this is to keep your car doors locked.

“People go around, they try door handles,” says Detective Sgt. William Bonney with Waterville Police Department.  “If they open the vehicles are getting burglarized.   If they don’t the suspects move on to the next car and hope they find one unlocked.  So take your keys out of your car and lock your car.”

If you have any information about these break-ins, call Waterville Police at 680-4700.

At least Massey and the boys have cut down on loud motorcycle pipes, though. Whew.

I wonder why there is no mention that 5-6 vehicles were broken into at the Village Green Mobile Home Park, which is about 1 1/2 miles away, during the same time span.
