A landmark Waterville restaurant is closing.
Bolley’s Famous Franks has been serving locals for more than a half-century.
The final day to enjoy the College Ave. location, known for its burgers and fries and hot dogs of course, is Thursday.
The owners say it’s bittersweet.
“I just want to relax. I’ve been doing this, myself now, for 30 years. And it is just time to kick back. I am not going to retire. I’ll find something else to do but I just want less stress,” said co-owner Zena McFadden.
Last call is 6 pm.
The original Bolley’s is in Hallowell.
That restaurant is owned separately and is not closing.
