From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
High pressure is forecast to build into New England over the next 24 hours, cresting the area during the day Saturday then moving to our south and east Sunday and Monday. This will provide us with some beautiful summer weather for the next few days.
The forecast looks in good shape with sunny skies expected to continue this afternoon and temperatures reaching the upper 70s to mid-80s for highs with the coolest temperatures along the coast due to a sea breeze developing this afternoon. Skies will remain clear tonight and temperatures will drop to the mid-40s to mid-50s from north to south across the state.
High pressure will move right over New England Saturday. We’ll see plenty of sunshine Saturday with highs again near 80° along the coast and low to mid-80s inland. There will be an upper level disturbance passing to our north likely giving us some high clouds during the afternoon especially over northern areas otherwise sunshine will prevail. We’ll continue to see mostly sunny skies Sunday and Monday with highs near 80° along the coast and low to mid-80s inland. Southwesterly winds will usher a more humid airmass into the region for Tuesday and with the higher humidity will come an increasing chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day Tuesday as well. A cold front is forecast to cross New England on Wednesday with some showers and thunderstorms.
