From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
High pressure will bring sunny and warm weather to all of New England the next several days. The high will build right on top of the New England Saturday and then slowly slip off to the south of New England Sunday. The high will bring mostly sunny skies to all of Maine both weekend days, with high temps climbing up into the 80s inland, but likely holding in the upper 70s to near 80 along the coastline. A few locals this weekend well inland might reach 90 degrees for the first time this year.
By Monday and Tuesday the high will be centered just east of the Mid-Atlantic Coastline and a southwest breeze on the backside of the high will gradually usher a more humid airmass into New England. As humidity levels climb during the middle of next week and a cold front to our north slowly approaches the risk of showers and thundershowers will increase throughout New England, with the best shot of seeing widespread thundershower activity likely being Wednesday and early Thursday as the cold front crosses the Northeast. Approaching high pressure will likely bring brighter and less humid conditions to Maine as we head towards the Holiday Friday.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the upper 70s at the coast and mid 80s inland.
Saturday night: Mostly clear, with low temps in the 50s to near 60.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with high temps in the 80s, except upper 70s at the coastline.
Monday: More sun than clouds, becoming more humid, with high temps in the 80s.
Tuesday: Partly sunny and muggy, with a few scattered thundershowers possible later in the day and high temps in the 80s.
Wednesday: Variably cloudy, and muggy, with showers and thundershowers likely and high temps in the upper 70s to low 80s.
