From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
A cold front will continue to slowly drift south through Maine early today. High pressure located over central Ontario will build southeast and push the front off to our south later today, causing the showers to taper off during the day and the skies across Maine to clear during the evening hours. The combination of clouds, leftover showers and a northeast breeze will hold today’s high temps to the upper 60s to low 70s. The high over Ontario will gradually build towards the Northeast Friday and bring partly to mostly sunny skies to New England as we end the workweek. The high temps on Friday will range from the upper 70s to low 80s. The high will continue to build right on top of the Northeast during the weekend and early next week and that will help bring mostly sunny skies to our region with temps climbing into the 80s across all of interior Maine Saturday through Monday. Humidity levels will gradually climb as we move through the middle of next week and will cause the risk of showers and thundershowers to increase throughout New England.
