From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
A cold front will slowly move into the state today bringing us scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms throughout the day. Despite the clouds and showers in the area today, temperatures will still be seasonable with highs reaching the low to mid-70s this afternoon. It will be a humid day as well with dewpoints expected to climb into the low to mid-60s. An area of low pressure riding along the front is forecast to move into New England tonight bringing us some steadier, heavier rain for the nighttime hours. Temperatures will remain mild tonight with lows dropping to the upper 50s to low 60s.
Low pressure will move along the stalled front through Maine on Thursday continuing to give steadier rain especially during the morning hours. The rain will taper to scattered showers during the afternoon as the area of low pressure and associated cold front start to shift to our east. Skies will begin to clear out Thursday night as high pressure builds into the area. High pressure will provide us with some sunshine, lower humidity and seasonable temperatures Friday with highs topping off in the mid-70s to around 80°. High pressure will dominate our forecast this weekend with sunshine and highs in the 80s for both Saturday and Sunday.
