A man from Dexter who reportedly told police he killed his dog was indicted Wednesday by the Penobscot County grand jury.

52-year-old Anthony Bari is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.

Police say Bari led them to his home last month about a quarter mile in the woods off Post Road.

They tell us they found a dead dog that appeared to be a boxer-pitbull mix.

The dog was transferred to the animal control officer.

Police say Bari admitted to the crime.
