An Old Town man accused of breaking into a pizza shop in Orono has been linked to two other restaurant burglaries in the area.

The Penobscot County Grand Jury formally charged 22-year-old Joseph Doucette with three counts of burglary and three counts of theft.

In March, police say they received a call there was someone inside the Orono House of Pizza on Park Street.

Police say Doucette escaped by jumping out a window and after a chase, he was caught in nearby Talmar Woods.

Prosecutors says Doucette is also charged in connection with two break-ins, in February.

One was at the China Garden on Stillwater Avenue and the other was at The Family Dog on Mill Street.
